SUBMISSION INFORMATION

Thank you so much for your interest in sharing your photos with the Away Soiree readers!  We are looking to share beautiful destination weddings, inspiration styled shoots, engagement sessions, social events, gorgeous locations and venues, as well as talented vendors all around the globe.  Below are the submission guidelines, please read them carefully as each category has different requirements.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

To be considered for publication, you can send the images via Dropbox to submissions@awaysoiree.com, or you can also send us a link to view your submission in a blog post or online gallery.  Please see the individual requirements for each category below.  We prefer weddings and events that have taken place within the past 12 months.  For the email title of your submission, please include the type of event, the destination and your company name.  For example:

– Alex and Brandon’s Venice Wedding by ABC Photography
– 1930’s Styled Shoot in Paris by 123 Event Planning & Design

If you are not the photographer submitting the event, please obtain permission from the photographer prior to submission.

When submitting to Away Soiree, please keep in mind we are looking for classic, timeless events and crisp, clean photography.  Overly processed images will not be considered.

REAL WEDDINGS

Our favorite weddings are those that are unique and personal to the couple, and incorporate lovely wedding details.  Each submission should include a balance of bride and groom portraits, getting ready, ceremony, reception, and detail shots of the ceremony and reception setup so that we can provide a complete overview of the day.  When you submit the images, please keep that in mind.

Number of Images: Please send 125 – 150 images for real weddings.  Images should not have frames, borders or watermarks, and they should be sized to 1,000 pixels wide at 72 dpi.  No high resolution images please.  If your images are larger than 1MB for each photo, they are too big!

Give Us the Details:  Details, details, details!  We want to know everything about this wedding and the couple!  What makes this wedding so unique?  Tell us the following:

  • Personal stories about the couple – such as where they live, how they met, why a destination wedding…etc.
  • Inspiration behind the day – such as the venue selection, color choice, the theme of the wedding, all the details and decor…etc.
  • Favorite memories of the day
  • Advice for couples who are planning their wedding now
  • Information on other details – such as the wedding dress, shoes, tuxedos (who are the designers)

Share Your Contact Information:  We love to give credit where credit is due – let us know who contributed to your wedding.

INSPIRATION STYLED SHOOTS

We love seeing the creativity and the collaborative efforts amongst the talented individuals behind each inspiration styled shoot!  If your shoot includes any handmade elements, we’d love for you to share a step-by-step tutorial of how to complete the project, as well as a source list for products used.

Number of Images: Please send 75 – 100 images for inspiration styled shoot.  Images should not have frames, borders or watermarks, and they should be sized to 1,000 pixels wide at 72 dpi.  No high resolution images please.  If your images are larger than 1MB for each photo, they are too big!

Give Us the Details:  Details, details, details!  We want to know everything about this styled shoot!  What makes this shoot so unique?  Tell us the following:

  • Inspiration behind the design – such as the venue selection, color choice, the theme of the wedding, all the details and decor…etc.
  • Information on other details – such as the model’s outfits/shoes/jewelry/accessories (who are the designers)

ENGAGEMENT OR PROPOSAL SESSIONS

We love seeing couples in love!  If you have a stylish and creative destination engagement session or actual proposal that you’d like to share, we want to see it!

Number of Images: Please send 50 – 75 images for engagement/proposal sessions.  Images should not have frames, borders or watermarks, and they should be sized to 1,000 pixels wide at 72 dpi.  No high resolution images please.  If your images are larger than 1MB for each photo, they are too big!

Give Us the Details:  Details, details, details!  We want to know everything about this session!  What makes this shoot so unique?  Tell us the following:

  • Personal stories about the couple – such as where they live, how they met, how they got engaged…etc.
  • Inspiration behind the session – such as the location choice, the theme of the shoot (if any)…etc.
  • Information on other details – such as the couple’s outfits/shoes/jewelry/accessories (who are the designers)

SOCIAL EVENTS

Although our focus is destination weddings, we are just as excited to see submissions of other destination events.  Perhaps it’s a milestone anniversary celebration?  Or a special birthday?  We’d love to see it!
