Featured Wedding - Liz & Nelson
When Liz contacted me back in May 2008, she wasn’t ready to start the planning of her wedding yet. She told me that she would need my services in a few months. Sure enough, 2 months later in July, I got an email from Liz and she said she bought her dream dress at Kleinfeld Bridal in NYC and so the planning officially began!
She and Nelson came out to Maui for a scouting trip in November, and we got to spend some time together doing food tasting and checking out venues and meeting with vendors. They are such an adorable couple. They fell in love with photographer Amity Mason and before they went home, they did an engagement session with her which you can see the photos HERE.

As the planning progressed, Liz told me that she’d like a “Sex in the City” wedding on Maui! She named all of her tables after the 4 characters in the popular TV show - Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha! And of course, she had to have the blue Manolo Blanik’s that Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker’s character) wore! :)
To honor her Chinese heritage, Liz chose red and gold as her wedding colors. As you can see from the slideshow, she had gorgeous decor in red and the linens were all in light gold… the combination was absolutely stunning - definitely one of my favorite weddings in 2009!
