A Few Pics of My B-Day Weekend!
I had an absolutely amazing and memorable birthday weekend! I actually survived not having my laptop with me for 2 days and 2 nights. Wow!
The Ritz was great and they upgraded our room to an awesome suite! Thanks, Margie… you are the best! Since Darren started working at the Hyatt 5 years ago, we have been so spoiled and have seen our fair share of hotel suites - from Kauai to San Francisco to New York City… This suite was almost as nice as the Grand Hyatt Kauai one that we stayed at last year for our anniversary. You can see the pictures HERE.
We spent most of our time eating and laying out by the pool. I also treated myself to a much needed Lomi Lomi massage on Sunday morning. Hmmm… not sure how I can ever top this birthday!
Here are a few snapshots that I’d like to share:
This was the living room and the lanai
Another view of the living room
The bedroom
One of the 2 bathrooms - love the double sink! It had a walk-in closet, a separate room for the bath-tub/shower and another room for the toilet!
Look at what I was reading? A “Weddings at the Ritz-Carlton” magazine, of course!
Complete ocean view from our double lanai
Saturday dinner at Kai Sushi (Ritz Carlton)
50% off kama’aina discount everyday from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
Just show your Hawaii driver license.
Sunday dinner at Cascades Grill & Sushi Bar (Hyatt Regency)
Every quarter, Darren gets a comped meal at one of the resort’s restaurants…
and nothing beats my favorite “Surf & Turf”! :)
The pool by day…
and the pool by night!
My birthday balloons and chocolates from the Ritz!
The birthday card from the Ritz!
Here I was, catching up on all of your birthday Tweets and Facebook messages on my iPhone! :)
Again, many thanks for all of your well wishes. It was one of my best birthdays ever! A special thank you to my wonderful hubby and best friend, who made this weekend even more special than it already was!

So awesome! Happy belated birthday. I need to tell Alfred the Ritz is calling my name. But, I fear he’d just send me Ritz crackers or maybe a gift certificate to Ritz camera.
