Speaking of outdoor decor and outdoor weddings, lately I have been asked a lot about the weather and the “bug” situation. As I tell all of my clients, there are 2 things that you need to get as soon as you arrive on the island - suntan lotion and bug spray.
Even on a cloudy/overcast day, the UV rays are still very strong and time and time again, I see a lot of people getting sunburned right before their wedding. If you are going to wear a strapless gown on your special day, please do not lay out in the sun in a bikini with straps. The tan lines just don’t look very appealing and the photographer can only do so much with Photoshop.
There will always be mosquitoes and other bugs at any outdoor venues. Some people are more allergic to the bug bites than others, so if you are one of those people, make sure that you bring the bug spray with you to the wedding. It definitely helps!
