Sprinkles Cupcakes on the move!
Since I am a HUGE foodie, you will notice that I blog about food all the time, but this got to be the best news ever. Sprinkle Cupcakes is now stopping at a location near you!
According to LA Times, “Sprinkles will use a chocolate-brown Mercedes Sprinter van with red hubcaps that replicate the trademark Sprinkles dot pattern that tops the company’s treats. It can carry 1,500 cupcakes at a time to stops throughout the region. There’s no set route, but the company expects to develop relationships with large office buildings around the city so that the van can park outside during lunch breaks or after work, said Charles Nelson, who with wife Candace founded the company in 2005.
“Many of Sprinkles’ destinations will be in the beach cities and the San Fernando Valley, far from the two Southern California Sprinkles stores in Beverly Hills and Newport Beach.
“Cupcake fans will pay a premium for the service. Individually boxed, the treats will sell for $4 each, 75 cents more than what Sprinkles charges at its stores.”
I hope the Sprinklesmobile will make it to the San Francisco Bay Area soon! They need to have one in the city… and won’t it be fun to have it at your event? Instead of the In-N-Out cookout trailer, you can have a Sprinklesmobile! Hmmm… I am loving that idea!
