Featured Wedding - Michelle & Henry

When Michelle first contacted me in August 2008, she told me that she found me on Style Me Pretty which is both of our favorite wedding blog… but who doesn’t like Style Me Pretty, right?  I had such a great time planning the wedding with Michelle because she had all these great ideas and vision of her wedding, and every element in the wedding truly reflected their personalities.  Here is the slide show of their beautiful day:

CAKE: Cakes by JoAnn. CATERING: Catering from Soup to Nuts. DRESS: Pronovias. ENTERTAINMENT: Kahaiali`i Productions. FLORALS: Bella Bloom Floral Boutique. INVITATIONS: Smitten Invitations. LINENS, LIGHTING & TENT: Pacific Event Group. PHOTOS: Dulce by Visionari. RENTALS: Pacific Isle Rentals.

For the cocktail reception, Michelle wanted to display their travel photos in an unconventional way.  So she decided to use clothes pins to hang the photos and tie them around each tree at the Sugarman Estate where they had their wedding.  Guests had fun walking around the estate looking through all the photos while having their pupus and cocktails.

Another great thing that we did was the French Fry Station!  Michelle LOVES fries, and we were able to collaborate with the caterer to provide them with all the different types of fries from the regular ones to the sweet potato fries… they were all served in little cones with different dipping sauce.  It was a huge hit!  :)

Michelle selected some of my favorite wedding colors - blush, peach and burgundy, and we also incorporated a lot of elements that were Henry’s favorite.  For one, he loves coffee… so for some of the smaller centerpieces, instead of putting orchids in the water, we filled the vases with coffee beans.  At the end of the reception, we put all those coffee beans in a bag and Henry took it with him.  He is also a huge New York Mets fan, so Michelle decided to surprise him with the Mets cupcakes.

The finale of the reception was the Polynesian/Hula show with the fire knife dancer.  All the guests enjoyed it tremendously.  Congrats, Michelle and Henry.  All the best to the two of you and I look forward to visiting you soon in Singapore!
